‘I wish there was more laundry to do’ – said no empty nester ever.

I am a mother of 3 ranging in age from 22 to 18. I live in Hertfordshire in the UK, and am going through the transition from busy home life to empty nest. Finding it all a bit of a roller coaster in terms of emotions and plans. After a couple of false starts in my effort to embrace this new phase I have since spoken to other women and men and found that there are quite a few of us out there experiencing the whole gamut of conflicting emotions when kids leave the home, boomerang back and generally make their way.

There seemed to be a lot on the internet about the empty nest – but not so much UK based, so I thought I’d give it a shot and you are looking at the result. Any comments, ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism happily received.
