Preparing for the Empty Nest – new workshop date!

Whether you are anticipating the Empty Nest in the near future or still getting used to vacated bedrooms, mums (and dads) like you and I are working on finding a new personal roadmap. One of many steps along the way is talking with others in the same boat, and by exchanging stories about this emotional time even learning how to navigate this transition from active parenting to light touch parenting. An opportunity to explore issues around the empty nest experience would be to attend a workshop facilitated by my friend Susan Vinther.

Susan is holding a workshop entitled ‘What will the empty nest mean for you?’ as part of her post-graduate studies in Career Development at Warwick University. It uses findings from her recent research paper on this question and would be of particular interest to women who, like her, will enter the empty nest phase of life this year or next. The workshop will take place on 19th May 2017, 1pm – 3pm in the Friends Meeting House in Harpenden. A small charge will be made to cover costs; there are still a few places available. Please mail susan@vinther.co.uk for more information.
